Step-by-step solutions

01

Check that the printer is reachable

Check power and network before changing the queue.

  1. Confirm power and connection. For Wi-Fi, compare the printer network with the PC; use the model display or manual.

  2. If no work is in progress, turn the printer off normally, unplug it for 30 seconds and turn it on again. Notify other users first if it is shared.

02

Inspect the queue without deleting jobs

Identify pending documents for this printer.

  1. Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, select the correct printer and open its print queue.

  2. Record the jobs and errors shown. Do not select Cancel all just as a test: it removes pending jobs and may affect other people.

03

Use Get Help with the exact state

Diagnostics can guide you without blindly removing the printer.

  1. In Windows 11, open Get Help and the printer troubleshooter. Specify that the printer is installed but offline.

  2. Review proposed changes. If asked to remove the printer or delete jobs and you do not know the consequences, stop and consult IT or the manufacturer.

Next step

Still not working?

If it remains offline, report the model, current network, installed entry name and diagnostic result. If it disappeared from the list, switch to Printer not detected in Windows. Do not manually delete print-service files.
