Step-by-step solutions
Confirm whether the transfer remains active
Observe status before touching the network or restarting.
Record the code and whether it appeared during preparation, data selection or copying. This strategy concerns a PS4 source and PS5 destination. If it appears in another operation, record that context for PlayStation instead of applying another code’s instructions.
On PS5, check Control Center > Downloads/Uploads. The console may restart while part of the transfer continues in the background. Do not run Test Internet Connection, change network settings or manually put PS5 in Rest Mode while copying continues.
If progress continues, let it run. If you cannot distinguish a pause from a final failure, do not cut power to test it: ask for help with the displayed state. Proceed to preparation only when the operation ended with an error and allows exit with no transfer active.
Check what is copied and between which consoles
With transfer stopped, verify the same account and network on source and destination. Sony requires updated system software and synced trophies before transfer. Check those requirements without restarting an active copy.
Review the selected size and any PS5 storage warning. If insufficient, reduce the selection of games you can download later; do not erase PS4 saves or data to make room on PS5. A storage warning changes the decision, but CE-112069-9 alone does not prove insufficient capacity.
If requirements match and Wi-Fi fails again, follow the wired test. If you only need PS4 saves, choose the saved-data alternative. Do not assume source data is lost because the destination did not finish; preserve that console and its data.

Retry with a stable link outside the transfer
Only after the failed operation ends, replace the wireless segment: Sony supports wiring both consoles to the network or an Ethernet cable between them if they normally use Wi-Fi. If both already connect to the router by cable, no extra cable between consoles is needed.
If other devices also have network failures and no copy is active, coordinate a router restart following its manufacturer; Sony specifies powering it off for at least five minutes. Do not use Reset. If the network works and switching to Ethernet is sufficient, do not add a routine restart.
On the destination PS5, review what it proposes to copy and retry once. Preserve source data and any newer destination data before accepting prompts.

If it works, wait for completion and verify the data you needed before retiring the source. If it fails identically, record stage and selection and contact PlayStation; do not open ports, change DNS or reset the console to force it.
Use a supported alternative for PS4 saves
If only PS4 saves matter rather than a complete migration, Sony supports copying them through USB storage or downloading an uploaded cloud copy with PlayStation Plus. Installed games and saves differ: downloading a game does not automatically recover progress.
Follow Sony’s instructions to copy PS4 saves from source and then to destination. Verify account, game, date and contents before confirming: a USB save can replace an existing PS5 save. Do not format a drive holding needed data.
This alternative does not mean individual PS5 saves can be copied to USB: Sony distinguishes that limitation. Stop if data does not match, a recoverable copy is missing or unexpected warnings appear. Keep the source until verifying the destination result.

Give PlayStation both console models and versions, source/destination, data type, stage, Downloads/Uploads state and Wi-Fi/Ethernet results. Clarify whether you need a complete migration or saves only. If this is not PS4 to PS5, state the difference: the code does not justify extrapolating procedures or erasing data.
