  1. Check discordstatus.com and try another call or channel you can access. Wait for recovery if there is a voice-service incident.

  2. If the call connects but nobody can be heard, use the related audio issue; that is no longer the same connection failure.

Check VPN and network restrictions

Voice needs a connection the network permits.

  1. Discord states that VPNs must support UDP. Confirm with the provider; on work or school networks, ask the administrator whether Discord is permitted.

  2. Ask for Discord’s firewall or antivirus allowance to be reviewed without turning protection off. If other apps also disconnect, follow general network diagnosis.

Try another region only if you manage the channel
