No sound in Discord
Distinguish deafen, one person’s volume and Discord’s audio output when other apps can be heard.

Step-by-step solutions
Check Deafen and individual volume
Start with the call controls.
Check that Deafen, the headphones control, is not enabled. For a server-imposed restriction, ask a moderator; it is not a local setting you can override.
If only one person is silent, right-click them and check their individual volume and whether you muted them.
Select the output inside Discord
Discord may use a different output from other Windows apps.
Choose the output device you are actually using and check output volume.

Return to the call and compare. The input device and Push to Talk affect your microphone; do not change them to fix what you cannot hear.
Reopen the app and narrow the failure
Keep the distinction between one call and all calls.
Tell others you are leaving the call, fully quit Discord and reopen it. Retry with the correct output.
If only one server or channel fails, ask for its restrictions to be checked. If all Discord calls fail but another app has sound, report the selected outputs and affected client to support.
Still not working?
If sound also fails outside Discord, use the related Windows issue. For a Discord-only failure, record the settings and contact support before reinstalling drivers or deleting the app.
