Step-by-step solutions

01

Close and reopen the app

Save anything still accessible before closing it.

  1. Close the affected app from the app switcher and open it again.

  2. If it closes again, restart iPhone normally and retry. Do not erase its data for this initial test.

02

Check app and iOS updates

Test after installing offered updates.

  1. Check the App Store for an app update and Settings for an iOS update. Save work and follow installation prompts.

  2. Repeat the action that made the app close. If only that app fails, keep troubleshooting it without resetting the entire phone.

Advanced checks

Continue if the earlier steps did not help. Read each procedure’s precautions first.

03

Delete and download again only after backing up

Check that you can obtain the app again and access the account.

  1. Find out which data is stored locally and confirm recoverable copies of important content. Ask the developer before deletion if you do not know what is retained.

  2. Delete that app and download it again from the App Store. Test it before making further changes.

Next step

Still not working?

If it still fails, contact the developer with the app version, iOS version and action that triggers the crash. Avoid sending private files or credentials to demonstrate it.
