CE-108255-1Sony defines CE-108255-1 as a game or application error. Its current page recommends updating the game and seeking PlayStation Repairs help if needed. It does not establish a single cause or direct a factory reset; the code alone does not prove GPU or SSD failure.

Step-by-step solutions
Check for a game update
This is the first step on Sony’s current error page.
Highlight the game on PS5, press Options and choose Check for Update. Install an offered update following the prompts.
Retry the failing action once. If downloading cannot connect, use the related internet issue; a failed download does not establish the cause of the original crash.
Prepare a reproducible support case
Separate observations from an assumed cause.
Record the game, version, exact action and whether other titles were also affected. Do not repeatedly trigger crashes to fill out the list.
Find the system version in Settings > System > System Software > Console Information. Share the version without publishing the IP, MAC address or other details on that screen.
Still not working?
If the updated game still reports CE-108255-1, contact PlayStation Repairs with those details. This guide does not prescribe deleting saves, rebuilding databases or resetting the console from a general application error code.
