Step-by-step solutions
Check the alert and payment profile
Open official account settings rather than links in suspicious messages.
Read the exact Google Play alert and check whether the payment profile or Google Pay requires an action. Complete it only within the official service.
Before retrying, check purchase history and payment status. If it is pending or already charged, do not repeat the purchase or switch methods yet.
Check the payment method and billing address
Review private details only within the official service.
Check that the method is current and its billing address matches the address registered for that method. Correct outdated details.
Check available funds and possible method restrictions. Do not publish or send third parties a full card number, CVV or banking credentials to explain the error.
Advanced checks
Continue if the earlier steps did not help. Read each procedure’s precautions first.
Retry with the corrected method or an alternative
Proceed only after confirming the earlier attempt did not complete.
If payment was declined and is neither pending nor charged, try the corrected method or another method accepted by Google Play. Review the amount and purchase before confirming.
If payment succeeds but the app will not download, follow the Google Play download guide. If payment is declined again, stop repeated attempts.
Still not working?
If Google still requires an action, use its payment support. If the issuer declines a current method with correct details, contact the bank or issuer through official channels without sharing credentials with third parties.
